Industry 4.0 technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things are revolutionizing industries worldwide, influencing vocational education and employment trends. The objectives were to (1) analyze the implications of Industry 4.0 technologies on vocational job markets, (2) assess skills gaps and training needs for emerging technologies in vocational sectors, and (3) propose strategies to prepare vocational students for Industry 4.0-driven careers. A survey research design was employed to collect data from industry experts, vocational educators, and technology professionals, examining their perspectives on the integration of Industry 4.0 in vocational training and workforce readiness. The sample size comprised 250 participants, selected through purposive sampling to include stakeholders from technology-intensive industries and vocational training institutes across Nigeria. The case study focused on Lagos State, known for its thriving technology hubs and innovative vocational education initiatives. Findings revealed a significant impact of Industry 4.0 on job roles, emphasizing the need for digital literacy, adaptive skills, and continuous learning in vocational education. Effective strategies included curriculum updates, industry partnerships, and hands-on training in advanced technologies. Recommendations included integrating Industry 4.0 competencies into vocational curricula, fostering collaboration between industry and academia, and enhancing career counseling services to guide students toward future-ready careers.
